We have had a coconut hair scouring pad forever!

Well, since we began trading, more or less. Then, one day, we found this.

It’s a Tawashi brush with a handle. Fantastic plan.

And to think it was only through a random chat I ever even found out about them.

This is an almost everlasting brush and has not changed design in over 100 years, with the handle on the end being super convenient for your washing up.

Because it is coconut hair it won’t scratch anything, stainless steel, hard anodized or copper bottomed, your pans will be safe.

Possibly the best washing up brush there is.

    Good, but careful of marking crockery when the brush gets old – the bristles get bent down at the end and the metal holding them in place can leave grey marks.

    I love love love this washing up brush! Feels like it might be scratching on pots and pans but isn’t, goodbye synthetic crappy washing up sponges that only seem to last 2 minutes each, yaaay!

    I was a bit sceptical with the review that said this was the best washing up brush they’d ever used… until I tried it myself. It is, without a doubt, THE best washing up brush I have ever used. Not only is it plastic free (yay!), it washes dishes better than any plastic one – tea stains and stuck-on food come off effortlessly. The bristles still haven’t lost any shape after two months of daily use, and the shape of the brush is perfect for mugs and glassware as well as dishes and pans. I’m a total convert.
