Our brushes are made (as they always have been) from 100% genuine panda friendly bamboo, grown with no fertilisers or pesticides. Just pure and proper moso bamboo. Naturally sustainable and one of the greatest eco materials ever!

All the bristles are BPA-free biodegradable nylon 4.

Our brushes are minimally packaged, because we want as little waste as possible. Waste BAD!

    My dentist told me to stop using hard nylon brushes because they were damaging my gums. This is the cheapest bamboo toothbrush I found online but it seems to be of equal quality and the medium soft bristles make teeth brushing a pleasure at last. Although no charge was made for delivery, it arrived in the post the day after I placed the order.

    I’ve been buying these bamboo toothbrushes for a while now. They’re much more eco friendly, although I think (I’m not totally sure!) the bristles aren’t compostable or recyclable. But still so much better than a plastic toothbrush of course! They’re not too expensive – if you order a few at a time, they’re not really any more expensive than a decent plastic toothbrush. Definitely worth it. The packaging is all recyclable. You have to be quite careful how you store these. I find that after a while, they start to taste a little funny, which I worry is the bamboo going a bit bad when the toothbrush has got damp. I could be wrong about that though – they might be fine. But because of that I change them slightly more often than I would have done with a plastic one. They’re still much better than plastic though, so I would definitely recommend them!

    I really wanted to get away from plastic toothbrushes and this is the first bamboo toothbrush I’ve tried. The bristles are comfortable and work well, and they don’t seem to be falling out after a week’s use. The handle is the bit that you need to be careful of – or the bit that goes in your mouth. It feels a bit flat and wide, a bit like a lolly stick, and sometimes hits my gums more painfully than I would like. I’m sure I’ll adapt but just be aware that it is not as neat as a plastic version.

    I have been ordering these toothbrushes for a couple of years. We use them as kindling to light the fire when they’re worn, packaging is minimal (also used on fire) so they tick the box for our efforts towards zero waste. They are the perfect toothbrushes.

    I have been buying this brand since 2017 and they are the only ones I have seen with actual bamboo bristles. The medium ones feel somewhere between a soft and a medium nylon bristle, which is why I love them as conventional brushes where always too soft or too hard and nothing in between. Many companies claim that bamboo bristles are not ‘sufficient’ for oral health but I have never had a problem- most people suffer from not knowing the correct techniques for brushing, rather than the brush bristles not being ‘sufficient’.

    Suffice to say, these brushes are amazing and are perfect for those who want to be zero waste, compost THE ENTIRE BRUSH and want bristle firmness to be somewhere between soft and medium. You also save money if you buy in bulk, making them the cheapest bust most effective brushes I’ve found!

    And as a bonus, the bristles do not ‘splay’ if you have a habit of chewing the brush accidentally while brushing.
